Day 1: Love is patient

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. —Ephesians 4:2 NIV

TODAY’S DARE
The first part of this dare is fairly simple. Although love is communicated in a number of ways, our words often reflect the condition of our heart.

For the next day, resolve to demonstrate patience and to say nothing negative to your spouse at all. If the temptation arises, choose not to say anything. It’s better to hold your tongue than to say something you’ll regret.

MY EXPERIENCE
Love is an amazing thing. When I started this section I thought I would have been done with this walk by the end of August.

Well it is the beginning of October and guess what?!? I am still on day one. I am not on day one because I forgot to blog, I am on day one because it was challenging for me.

Every marriage has its tests & trials and despite the fact that we have conquered quite a few of them. In doing this study I learned I lost patient with my husband and I did not realize the negative things I said until I started this journey. I thought I was being objective. humm...

Last night while going over the events of my day I realized I not only held my tongue but most importantly I got my thoughts under control as well. Time to go to Day 2
